Hi, I am Tara, founder and owner of the Kioko Center, LLC. I sincerely love my job and have such gratitude for my clients and the families of Kioko Center. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in OT in 1994 and have been a practicing therapist in Pediatrics for the 20 plus years. I earned by doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy in 2000, specializing in pediatric occupational therapy. I have several certifications, which include Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing, Pediatric Neurodevelopment Treatment, Listening Therapy, Interactive Metronome, and Handwriting Without Tears. I have training in feeding/eating treatment strategies, Aquatic Therapy, Hippotherapy, Floortime Therapy, And Reflex Integration Therapy. I have worked in numerous clinics across several states. I opened the Kioko Center in 2006 after I had my 5th child. I have also co-founded Global Occupational Therapy for Orphans with my husband as well as Jessica and Sean Kenney. Through my travels abroad and experiences here in the U.S. I have learned a great deal from each and every child and have enjoyed my career as an OT. I feel blessed to work in an amazing profession and work with remarkable kids and the staff here at Kioko. I sincerely love my job and have so much appreciation for my clients and their families.
